If it’s viral, it’s unlikely to affect you, but if it’s infectious, then yes it could. Ask your partner to visit the gp for some advice and possibly some meds. 😊

Wearing surgical masks might help, both of you if possible, if not you then at least your partner. . Also you could both increase your intake of natural vit C or even a supplement if you have some. Of course ideally for both of you somebody else doing the close help to you would help. Personally I think that to avoid even simple head colds is sensible because they do lead to other problems, which you definitely do not want. Good luck with it.

PS show your carer this reply. PosyP

I am my husband's carer and if ever I think I have a cold coming I always use 'First Defence' . If it actually developes into one I then suggest he also uses it for a couple of days or so. Obviously this may be a bit late in the day for you at the moment, but worth considering in the future. I also wear a disposable mask when in close contact and, of course, constantly wash my hands. I also make sure nobody who visits him has a cold. I do know what a worry it all is but all we can do is take every precaution and keep our fingers crossed. Good luck.
