My husband has had an oxygen concentrator for 3 years now which Is running 24x7. We keep it in a spare bedroom in our house because of space and noise issues. It was recently replaced as he needs to have it set on 5 litres and sometimes up to 7litres. This machine is even bigger and noisier and no way would one be able to sleep if it were in the same room.I’m wondering if anyone has been successful in getting a rebate in the council tax for this. Many thanks.

Council tax rebate
Hi yes I have I got it through discretionary house ask your council for a form and explain about the oxygen. I had no trouble getting it after I explained. Please let me know how you get on. Good luck take care and have a nice day.😊 Bernadette xx
Morning @Misstickle and you've had a positive response from Damon1864 ,so that will encourage you to follow her suggestions as sometimes,if you're unsure of which dept/form to ask for,you can easily be "fobbed off"! I do know that many months ago another member enquired at their Council and wasn't so lucky. However, still go for it....nothing ventured, nothing gained!!! Good luck and do let us know how you did.
Hi missy I have a concentrater in spare bedroom 24/7 and every three months they send me a electric payment it reads what you use and they rebate you the money you only get rebate on council tax if one of you are on pention credits so I hope this helps good luck.
