Hi, I cannot help but you might try writing 'respiratory vest' in the search bar above to see the older posts and replies about them.

Morning Daffodil 77. I have not heard of that in England, I might be wrong, I use an AerobiKA along with saline Neblets in my nebuliser that the hospital gave me, instructions say sit up but the physio says lie down, works good for me, I also had a Flutter given me by my doctor befor the Hospital said this one's better. Good luck sorry could not help with smart vast one. Take care and stay safe.

Hi Egpa, thank you for your reply. I also use a, flutter do you need to wash that after every use? What does the aerobika do? Is it the same as the flutter device? I also use Saline nebules in my nebuliser along with another medication, but now I am trying to use the terbutaline first & Saline 20 minutes later. Do you mean that you lie down using the Saline in nebuliser?

Hi .I have a vest .It helps as part of a physio regime which I have that helps to remove the mucus.I also use a aerobika and do yoga and meditation which involves breathing exercise.I have severe Bronchiectasis and Colonised pseudomonas and haemopholus influenza and my Bronchiectasis is not very stable.I trialled mine and I got it for £2,500.It helps but hasn’t stopped infections.mine is a hill rom .Vest.

Hi cat50, Thank you for your reply, I hope you are doing well. Is the vest from the UK?How long do you have to use it for? How long have you had it for? Does it remove thick mucus?

Sorry for all the questions.

Thankyou in advance 😊

I've had a percussion vest for close to 20 yrs. Got it when I was working, so my employer's insurance paid for a good portion of the cost.

I live in the states and mine is from Hill-Rom with a lifetime guarantee. I've had to replace the vest, tubes and machine over the years, at no cost to me.

It does help to loosen the mucus, but an Aerobika or flutter valve works good too.

Hi Beth1949 Thank you so much for your reply 😊. Everyone has been helpful on here 😊I do use a flutter but I don't know if it's working. Is the Aerobika better or does it do the same thing as a flutter? I just don't know if it's working & that's why I was thinking about the vest. I'm thinking that the vest will clear my lungs out properly. How well does it work for you? It is quite expensive. I live in the UK. I will use the flutter religiously & see if it makes a, difference.

I think an AeroByka is superior to a flutter. Your doctor may prescribe one if he thinks it is suitable. Or you can buy them on the internet for considerably less that a vest. They don't suit everything (what does?) but mine worked wonders when I had a particularly nasty chest infection.
