Coughing

As soon has i go to bed I start coughing short off breath i have had xrays blood tests all showing nothing the consultant said it will clear that was six weeks ago and I am still struggling I am taking naproxen and carbocisteine with no results i have sharp pains in the chest when coughing can anybody advise

Raising your bed at least 6 inches will help. Otherwise a trip back to check in with your go again might put your mind at rest re the other concerns. If my coughing when I first lie down is annoying then I find antihistamine usually stops it immediately. Worth a try? It can’t harm you. Hope you get answers soon.

Hi ,we have antibacterial wipe down hospital grade pillows.Also having a cool pillow could help & also sleeping with your pillow raised. Just suggestions .
