Probably if only to check it out again.maybe different antibiotic needed? Although the coughing and mucus can go on and on as you no doubt know. Do you have nebuliser, saline you could try ol bas oil or similar to help a bit. Being a bank holiday weekend if you in uk gp visit maybe difficultto obtain.

Hi House yes definitely even if it isn't an infection just to be sure. Even to get a sputum test sent away will be good. I hope you get sorted soon x

Dont hesitate to get in touch with Gp if problem persists chest infections can rapidly progress If your breathing becomes rapid and u feel tired and lethargic You Must get urgent treatment. Steam inhalation helps open airways and shift mucus. Take care hope it clears up

Hi I also have bronchiectasis, I make sure that i do my clearance techniques and drink plenty of hot squash drinks not cold when cough starts also distress breathing can help otherwise it's a coughing cycle hard to break .can take 3weeks to recover. Good luck

It is always good to go to ER in this circumstances...nebulising is a good idea...I always use pure Eucalyptus ( not in nebuliser, it will clog up your machine ) but in nostrils with warm fingers...or in area of nostrils ( underneath ) ...you will be well
