Morning all! Hopefully you are ok now that winter is stealing in this week.
A quick question please: have developed a small pressure sore and wondering whether a dressing is advisable. Am using Sorbaderm, which is solely a barrier cream. Any ideas, suggestions most welcome. Thank you.

I would check in with your doctor Ian or visiting nurse if you have one, scroll down to 'When to get medical advice' title on this page: nhs.uk/conditions/pressure-...
Thank you all. Seeking to treat at home with advice. Now have appointment tomorrow with practice nurse. (First time have lowered my trousers since six of the best at school!!😊
After check with Nurse/doctor, the next queston is, how did you get it? Wrinkled clothing, where you sit? seat not wide enough? or is it from when you are lying down? do you need pressure relief, there is all sorts on the market, some available through District Nurses, some need buying, but need advice to avoid wasting money, or merely reducing the pressure in one area of the body and moving it to another. In this case prevention is always better than cure.
I had the same problem. I have lost a lot of weight, down to 6st 8lb. I have little muscle at base of spine. I bought a doughnut cushion and don't get sores any more. You should try one. Mine only cost me £15
