Probably one of your best Master Po and i fear you may be addicted to prednisolone or some other addictive substance for such prolific output of the highest quality in the recent past..........slow down you are burning me out.
When I was still at school. Hated that as soon as the summer holidays began .. all the back to school signs went up in shops selling uniform and stationery.
Great Ode Don. But, As you are not Aware. A Lot of the Bigger Stores are already Displaying " Christmas Goodies" Grrrrr. Screaming School age Children are Demanding " I Want, I Want....Yes, Your Poem makes a lot Of Sense. Thank You. Just don't Shop on a Saturday....No School That day. !!!! xxxx
I was a teacher for nearly forty years and absolutely loved the six weeks holiday. It allowed me to recharge my batteries and was even mor important for the last ten years of my working life when RA, severe asthma and bronchiecstasis really affected my body. To see those back to school signs up on the first day of the holidays, really annoyed me!
It must have really annoyed you the way prices shot up just at your holiday times. 😟
Ooh! That's so true Don. I live in a Seaside Town n prices go up shockingly in School holidays. No mini meals, available in Cafés, no bargains to be had. N the Crowds!! I know the area needs Tourist Cash, but, personally, I can hardly wait for September. 😊✌️🌻
I used to love the six weeks holiday when my kids were small but could do without them now I'm older and have to shop when other people's kids are all milling around, scooting on trolleys, sitting IN trolleys with their shoes on, complaining they don't want to be shopping and 'can I have...'. Yes, I'll be glad when September comes too! Great ode, Don. xx Moy
