My daughter came home from school one day ( a loooong time ago now) excitedly telling me she had a new friend named lonely ( I instantly thought of the character from the Callan series staring Edward Woodward) i told her thats nice but I don't think her name is lonely "it is dad " the teacher told me she said " holley, will you play with the new girl shes lonely" , I couldn't help laughing at the thought of my daughter constantly calling her lonely all day at school .
On a different subject my 5yr old grandaughters birthday is coming up soon so I asked her what she wanted for her birthday and without any thought she told me she wanted " gucci" just anything gucci lol .
As always breath easy everyone.

How hilarious , they make you cry with laughter dont they? I remember my daughter at 5 yes stated "I will never get married " , I replied ok that's fine. 10 mins later she then said " I will get married, cause I need someone to get the spiders out" 🤣🤣
Secondly How did we get to wasps from 5 yr old and trainers after my long post about wasps I couldn't remember what had caused me to write about wasps! I had to track back to find out
Wasps I can cope with . I had to remove a nest from my porch . I was going on holiday and as somebody was coming round to water my houseplants I had to get it moved quickly. S o trousers tucked into socks gloves covering sleeves , polo neck and scarf. Plus woolly hat pulled down to glasses and a secret stash of Rapid fly killer( not allowed now) and set about it. Was very upsetting because the Rapid was not rapid and I could hear "whimpering" noises for ages. Eventually got it all into rubbish sack and I when i looked there was a round ball of grey paper and it was all interconnecting cells. Beautiful I felt dreadful doing it but wasps! It was them or My treasured plants. And they had seen them on my wooden balcony for some time. They had been grazing on it ! This was their raw material for the nest and I didn't realise, must shooed them awayRevenge was extracted on behalf of the wasp s a year or two ago when I was stung by this enormous very loud ?wasp in my entrance hall. I managed to swat it and picked it up in a tissue . It was dead but it it stung me .! It must have been a hornet there were reports of finding them in UK. I havent ever had reaction to wasp sting that i can remember but my hand swelled up and up this time.
That’s a great story and exactly how kids are. Your granddaughter has expensive taste already. What will she want when she’s 18……….Prada, Chanel? etc. Lol.

Oh bless her! That’s brilliant!!! My little nephew ( 10yrs old) uses lots of funny phrases he’s obviously picked up from his teacher...’ evidently...blah de blah de blah!’ And ‘ as you can see...’. I always have to try not giggle at the wrong moment!
They really are! They keep us entertained and on our toes and laughing lots...When just little, before he had any understanding of these types of words , one Christmas he was into telling jokes and so we were eagerly waiting the next one...
‘what did the fish say when he swam into a wall? ...
And with full gusto revealed the answer
‘ DAMN!’ We all burst out laughing and he couldn’t fathom why this joke was more funny than any of the others!
They do say funny things. My son has a birth mark on his tummy, at aged four he was contemplating this mark on his skin and said "you know what mum ,that's where God painted me to make me special'.
What a lovely idea -he is 6 foot tall now and nearly 40!
