Me too! An amateuurish effort done whilst on a drunken night out doing my National Service with the Royal Engineers. Had to wear long sleeved shirts all the time until I retired.
Don you made me laugh. It feels like my body is conspiring against me today, everything seems to be going wrong with it and I was just feeling rather sorry for myself. Your rhyme made me laugh and was just the kick in the derriere that I needed.
The whole spinach and iron thing is a myth anyway, it contains only tiny amounts of iron. Maybe we should take a leaf out of Popeye's book and go with the mind over matter thing.
Thankyou for another fun start to the day . My husband does all the cooking and he believes spinach really is good for you so we eat it often but even so I am more like Olive Oil than Popeye ๐
I โve just bought some cooked spinach at the deli Don!! Iโm no sailor and Iโve got no tattoos ๐ and no way am I finished! Well hope not anyway ๐ค๐
I would be limited as to when I eat spinach because I take Adcal. (lots of foods must not be taken within 2 hours each side of Adcal) but I take 1 dose at bed time so well after eating and the other dose when I wake in the night, either to pee or clear the build up of mucus in my throat.
I'm glad I thought this up because fitting in all the inhalers and drugs was getting me down. I was getting to the stage of "I can stands so much but I can stands no more!"
Very clever Don. I've missed your rhymes as I've been 10 days in hospital again with bilateral pneumonia - your local by the way - they were very good but there's no place like your own bed. Sheila xx
Oh! So sorry Shelia, I do hope you are over it and feeling more like yourself. I was beginning to think I had lost your custom. You must have been just yards away when I was attending the eye clinic.
