Hi I’m new here, just to let you know I suffer from pleural plaque,,pigeon lung and have now been told I have COPD, the nurse has put me on steroids course and antibiotics plus inhalers, I also have disease in spine so when I take a short walk I get breathless and if I try to go a bit further my back gives up ,can’t win, I have been searching and came across an article that mentions CPD oil can help the inflammation in our lungs has anyone on here heard about it, says it’s legal in USA,

Hi Den, I am sorry, I can't help you at all at the moment, just wanted to say hi because I joined yesterday. Tomorrow I have my first hospital appointment and meet the consultant and his team who, I hope, are going to help me. All the people who responded to my first post yesterday were fabulous. I think I need a crash course in all the new terminology! I haven't a clue what most of it is. Lovely to meet you, have a great evening!

I think you are talking about CBD oil but I believe it is the THC that helps with COPD. I believe it is legal in some states but not all. If you do a search for posts by Swerv he has posted quite a bit about how he uses it.

Many thanks again, how can I get on to swervs posts ??

I think this should list his posts.

He also posted information in response to other people’s questions and those posts may not show up in that list.

You could also try sending him a private message but not sure if he has his notifications turned on. I have always found him to be very willing to share information and it is a little easier talking privately as it is still illegal in many places.

You can get CBD oil capsules that are legal and do not have the ingredients that normal Cannabis contain, they are available from Health shops and are completely different from the CBD you hear talked about i.e " Medical Marijuana" for MS & Epilepsy etc

✓ Legal, safe & batch tested

✓ Non-toxic and no psychoactive or addictive effects

✓ All-natural, non-GMO ingredients

✓ Added olive oil to help absorption in the body

If you are new to CBD Oil, it is advisable to start with a low dose and build up your intake gradually over a few weeks, until you find the dosage that best suits your needs.

The ‘hemp’ plant and the ‘marijuana’ plant are both types of cannabis. What makes them completely different is their ingredients – specifically ‘CBD’ and ‘THC’. The ingredient ‘CBD’ (otherwise known as cannabidiol) is a natural extract of the hemp plant that’s non-intoxicating and void of any psychoactive inducing properties. It’s also the ingredient that’s been widely researched in the States for its health benefits. The ingredient ‘THC’, that is plenteous in the marijuana plant, is responsible for the so called ‘high’ that’s associated with cannabis.

Hope this helps :)

Hi and welcome @dengreenhowe

I’m in the UK and take the legal version that’s now easily available online and even in Holland & Barrett (although theirs is a very weak oil). But all are without the psychoactive thc compound which is not legal.

The (legal) CBD oil helps me on a lot of different levels, eg anxiety, energy and I’m sure I can breathe better too.

Shouty has already given you lots of info and below is a link from the BBC health pages if of interest.

Amazingly, medical cannabis oil (with thc) should be available on prescription by special doctors soon. However not sure if lung disease patients will qualify!

Welcome. Hi, I have severe emphysema, Osteoporosis, a cancer and plenty else.

Breathlessness is unfortunately part of the COPD disease, what helps somewhat is a hand held fan which helps keep you cool and is useful for breathlesness and can be put in a pocket. I take CPD+ oil which I get from Holland & Barrat health stores, it's a bit expensive and only a small bottle so be prepared to pay a bit for it. It does however help me to sleep & rest, you put from 3No drops under the tongue for ir to be absorbed, then get comfortable and rest or sleep. Works for me. without any side effects.
