Swollen glands and currently on antibiotics

Hi everyone, can't shake this chest infection, on 4th day of anti's after a week on steroids and before that more anti's.

Glands on my neck are really swollen and the back of my throat is red raw, had this for quite a while now and thought the anti's the doc gave would get shut, that just doesn't seem to be the case.

Don't want to feel like a drain by going back to the docs, she did have a look the other week at my throat but didn't seem concerned.

I've also just started on the spriva and the day after my first dose I felt like a new man but now seem to have gone backwards, woke this morning feeling like I'd swallowed the Sahara desert.

I still see it as trial and error getting meds right as everyone is different. Be nice to have more than one good day a month though.

I'm not giving up, I'll take whatever the doc tells me and as bad as I feel I'm still managing a little exercise, even if it's just up and down stairs, but Saturday after my first spriva I walked a mile carrying 3 shopping bags and singing along to my MP3 (when there was nobody around 😂)

Thank you sassy, I've actually started to feel better, had a very little lie down and everything stopped hurting, I wonder if it's possible to patent "laying down" would be such a money spinner 😂😂

Hello keith9876 .

Some antibiotics work well with certain infections and not with others. You're not a drain at all. And if you aren't any better, please go back and ask for a different approach to the treatment. Also, please remember to keep hydrated and plenty of rest. Perhaps lay off the singing until your throat is better. 😊🎶
