pain above ribcage

HI THERE , I HAVE HAD EMPHYSEMA FOR AT LEAST THREE YEARS AND BRONCHIECTASIS FOR ABOUT TWENTY YEARS . I AM ON NEBULISER AND ALL SORTS OF TREATMENT, BUT I HAVE STARTED HAVING PAINS ABOVE MY RIB CAGE AND MY LUNGS . I HAVE SEEN MANY DOCTORS AT THE HOSPITAL ABOUT IT ,BUT NO ONE AS ANY ANSWERS . IT MAKE ME FEEL SO ILL SOME TIMES THAT I JUST HAVE TO LIE DOWN UNTIL IT GOES. HAVE YOU ANY IDEAS WHAT IS CAUSING THE PAINS . REGARDS DEREK

Hi there Janet , my pain is more in the middle if i am peeling potatoes it can come on quite bad and I have to lie down . Thank you Derek

Hi same here, you are correct doctor can't seem to help, try light stretching exercise they might help.

I asked because, my Doctor always presses on my left side above my rib bone to see if my spleen is swollen. If it is I have a infection going on somewhere. Do you have reflex or hernia?

I get pain in my rib cage similar to cramp, and was told that it's due to inflammation on the connective tissue between the lungs and ribcage. Not very pleasant. The only thing that eases it for me is a good rub.

I also have emphysema at my front door, but so many other things at the back door. I have been getting the pains behind my rib cage etc for afew year. I've talked to the doctors etc about this, no answers. I think they haven't always got the answers. I just carry on each day regardless of what I feel. I stay strong in my mind, I control my mind.
