sudden strike pain between shoulders
Have you contacted your GP? Hoping you feel better soon. If concerned contact 111. Nobody on here is medically qualified to diagnose health problems so do seek help. Xxx
I would definitely call 111 in the very least Trevor, I think they can fast track a GP appointment. There are several causes for that kind of pain.
Hi Trevor
Ring 111 now, it’s not a federal offence, the number is there to b used in an emergency and yours sounds like one to me.

I think you need to be seen - The pain between your shoulders could be angina, lungs - I say this as it woke you.
Could even be connected to your neck pain, but we don't kknow.
If you ate wakened with there pains between your shoulders again, ring 111 - Better to be safe than sorry.
Hi Trevor definitely ring 111,this was me last week in a lot of pain in my back called gp who said it could be this or that sent me to a & e had xray blood test etc couldn't find much and sent me home with pain relief so Friday I got a rash and then was diagnosed with shingles after calling 111 and its painful ,now on antivirals and pain relief. I never would have thought that I had shingles until they flagged it up and I am really grateful for all their help
Sorry to hear this B0xermad, hope the antivirals work well for you. Did you have the vaccine for shingles, if so how long ago, only asking as I have been asked to have one x
Hi, this reminds me of a few months ago when I had not taken medication for reflux, I`d miised about 3 days. I considered going to A&E but then started to wonder why. Got new prescription and hey prest, a few hours later, no more pain. This isn`t a medical diagnosis but an example of what can be the cause of sudden discomfort. Ring 111 and have a chat to them. Good luck, Chris.
You may have slept awkwardly and upset nerves, have you tried some heat on it, see if it eases it and some pain relief. I have spinal arthritis and often get this, it’s extremely painful, I use heat for relief, those microwave things are ideal ( sorry, forgot name of them) . Worth a try.
Take care
Wendy xx
I hope you have contacted your GP or 111 by now and got a sensible suggestion for the cause of this pain . Good luck and best wishes.
