Hemoptysis aka coughing up blood still! On day 10 of oral Levaquin 500mg

Anybody have ongoing hemoptysis while being treated for pneumonia past 10 days now...pain is near gone but still coughing up blood size of small coin every morning 😳

There is coughing up blood and coughing up blood. Due to coughing and infection etc the small capillaries can be damaged and having small amounts of blood in the sputum is fairly common. Coughing up a small amount of blood of the size you describe should not be a problem. Pneumonia from experience takes time to recover from and I would give it more time. However if you are worried then contact your GP.

Sorry I know it's very unpleasant having been through pneumonia myself before and coughed up some blood.

It should subside soon, but if it's still happening in a week or gets worse go back to the dr and let them take a look.

Pneumonia is awful it took me months to completely clear it

I would book an appt with your dr to follow up. I have had pneumonia as we, several times and have never coughed up blood. I'm sure everything is fine, but maybe an Xray??? Coughing up blood should always be taken seriously....just saying✌️
