I have stage one copd diagnosed last December have been on Fostair inhaler but had to be taken off due to side effects two weeks ago now on Clenil Modulite 100 now having bad reflux every night although I am on Lanzoprazole daily,anyone had side effect from this inhaler.

What were the sides on Fostair?

If on Lanzoprazole you either need a bigger dose or it's not reflux. Discuss with your GP.

side effects on fostair was interfering with my Citalopram I take for anxiety also having funny turns with my blood pressure. Reflux increased increased as soon as I started the clenil to see doc in six weeks after blood tests.

Fostair contains a long acting bronchodilator (fomoterol) plus 100 micrograms of the corticosteroid beclometasone propionate.

Clenil is... just 100 micrograms exactly the same corticosteroid, beclometasone propionate.

So, logic says your reflux isn't a side effect of the Clenil, otherwise you'd have had it with Fostair, too.

But If you are taking the usual dx, 2 puffs twice daily, you're taking twice as much as with the Fostair (assuming 1 puff, twice pd) so could try just one, see if it helps

If that fails and you're sure it's reflux?.. discuss with GP taking, say, a Ranitidine before bed in addition to Lanzoprazole or increase Lanzoprazole dose.

FYI: Both Fostair & Clenil made by same company, Chiesi.

thanks soulsaver I have reduced the clenil to one puff twice a day as of this morning will see how it goes but I had reflux on Fostair my system absorbs drugs very easily so I am a doctors nightmare loll

I had a bad reaction to Clenil Modulite - caused severe breathlessness. Now on Pulmicort Turbohaler 200 which suits me fine. Good luck with your search (we're all different - always trial and error).
