Alpha 1 Antitripsine test

Has anyone had the above blood test in relation to familial pulmonary fibrosis?

I did not know that Alpha-1-Antitripsin-deficiency was linked to pulmonary fibrosis. I thought it caused a rare type of Emphysema. But happy to be corrected. There are some on this forum with this type of Emphysema.

Many members have had the blood test in relation to their COPD/emphysema. If you ask about the test without limiting it to pulmonary fibrosis you are likely to get a bigger response.
