just wondering if anyone else out there has tested positive recently and how serious it was for them. Just started to feel ill today with sore throat & achy..
Obviously worried that out might tip over onto my chest.. which has been behaving itself these last few months 🤞🤞
Any tips gratefully received!

I had it in July and am a fellow bronch person. I have also have some immune issues and make no antibodies to pneumonia, so was worried about any chest involvement.
For me this variant was more about complete exhaustion than anything else. Luckily it focussed on the sinuses and throat and seemed to avoid the chest, but I felt very tired, ill and brain foggy. And the blank mind continued on after the virus had gone.
But manageable without medical intervention. Good luck and I hope it’s a smooth journey.
Really hope you recover quickly. Don't know how helpful this will be. Have had mild bronchiectasis, diagnosed about 9 years ago. Developed sore throat and heavy cold on Saturday (first one since 2019!). Then a bad cough on Sunday and Monday. Of course, warm weather has helped hugely. Like Peege, I've been taking 1000 mg effervescent Vit C in water, Panadol Extra (2x4 times a day, take it anyway for pain relief for something else plus morphine patch). Also high dose Vit D3 and colostrum.
Have been drinking loads of Green Tea with honey and juice from fresh lemons (maybe 8+ mugs a day). No wish to speak too soon and tempt fate, but cough is much better and cold seems to be coming to an end. Fastest I've every known, as with the bronch, colds and resultant cough pre-2019 have resulted in chest infection and landed me in bed for weeks. Hope some of this at least may be helpful. Wishing you well. xxx🌺
I’m in California. People like us with Bronch and Pseudomonas would receive Paxlovid, an antiviral.
Ive not had Covid, but it is hitting my family now. My niece, the nurse, retired in July. She made it through all the years of Covid, while nursing, but got it in late August. She had sore throat, headaches and tiredness and felt better by day 5. My brother just got it a week ago and said it felt like the flu. By day 5 he was good. His wife, who has been undergoing radiation for cancer hasn’t faired as well. She’s on Paxlovid, but is still feeling awful. Think she’s returning to the doctor.
Hi Phill,I have Bronchiectasis & pseudomonas. I ve had Covid 2x & was fine. Like having a mild flu. Only really unwell for 2 days, though tested positive for 12.Slept mostly & took the usual paracetamol/"Ibruprofen.
Chest was more irritated & lots of mucus afterwards but nothing requiring antibiotics.
I tested positive for Covid on Tuesday (symptoms started on Monday with a sore throat). Feeling much better now, just very tired. I've got by on paracetamol, honey, lemon and ginger. I have bronchiectasis and am asthmatic but symptoms seemed to be upper respiratory only. I hope you feel better soon.
I have severe c o p d was in hospital few weeks ago had heart attack and caught covid in hospital it was a very mild cold. Nothing to worry about. Have you had all your jabs. Colin
Really important to continue active cycle breathing techniques including albuterol and 3 or 7% saline via AerobiKa. Do an extra treatment may be beneficial for your lungs while getting over this.
Sorry late, hope you are feeling a bit better by now. I had it with COPD and Fibrosis, it lasted 14days and had to cancel a cancer op but I was ok with my conditions.
