Hi when you stop smoking it's common to cough a lot for a while afterwards as your lungs are clearing themselves of all the rubbish that has accumulated over the years. Hopefully by June you should be coughing a lot less.
Sip water stay hydrated ..
Honey and lemon mayhelp..if you smoke stop ..but if the coughs persistent see your GP congratulations on the wedding guess your on the countdown now hope you get sorted ..is the cough related to a lung condition or is it a stress cough due to getting married lol good luck with things Angie x
I found that breathing in steam helps to get things moving. Bowl of boiling water and towel over head to try it and if it works buy a steamer. Incidentally, you'll find yourself coughing up plenty once married 😳
If you have mucus to shift talk to your GP about medication to help thin it. There are also chest clearance techniques demonstrated on YouTube. If it's a dry tickly cough try to ease your throat with honey and lemon.
Hi, are you on any medications ? My gp had me taking a prescription drug for high blood pressure and one of the side effects was a constant tickly cough. It was awful and I can sympathise with what you are going through. Also, do you have sinus problems ? That's another thing that can cause an unproductive cough if you have a post nasal drip ? Good luck with getting to the bottom of why you are coughing, please let us know how you get on
there are some lozenges called DO DO tablets work quite well, if they still sell them. I find cold remedies help too, as they clear the airways but be careful if your taking other drugs. Other drugs can sometimes make the cough worse too. My cough is always there but the nurse said my new BP tablets might be the cause, had the cough since in my teens. Hope you find something to releive it before your wedding speech
