Rescue packs
Hi shortytree, you do have a lot on your plate at the moment. Does your partner have a good doctor or respiratory nurse as you need help it seems. If you want further advice then please use the BLF helpline during office hours on 03000 030 555. A nurse will be able to offer help and advice.
Take care and please let us know how things go. Xxxxx
Most of us are on Azithromycin to prevent infections starting in the first place so if he is not on them it would be a good idea to have a chat with his gp
The idea behind the rescue pack is as soon as we feel an infection starting we send a sputum sample to the doctors then start the antibiotics and steroids and hopefully when the results come in we are on the right antibiotics but it often needs more than one course or a different type of antibiotic so perhaps what he is taking isnt clearing it up
If you feel the doctor isnt controlling it go and have a chat and tell them and whats going on
if there is one thing i have learnt since being ill its that the doctor is not always right
White is good.
I can't cough anything up, i just cant do it. Any ideas?
