Just been told that we getting smart meters for gas and electric next Friday so will have to go on bottled oxygen while work done will have to stay upstairs that's where bottle is .?Do I ring supplier boc now to tell them or when I used bottle

Hi

Let them know in advance. So they are aware in case of any emergency.

The meter change only takes a short time, have you advised them you are on oxygen.

Thanks I will do that .I told them when they rang that I on oxygen the lady on phone said it would be about 20 mins for each meter then she said something about 2hours I asked if they would do electric first

Hi

20 minutes is about right, the 2 hours is probably the set up for monitoring system.

I live in flat so no use to me as the one used by SSE works of Bluetooth.

Can still check online, after first week novelty worn of.

The only advantage is the supply gets a up dated reading every 30 minutes on electricity.

You should also contact the power companies and let them know your situation so you can take priority.

tell them in advance they will offer you a alternative my supplier knows I have COPD so if we have a power cut they make it a priority

Do what onamission suggests, then if there's a power cut or whatever you're given priority. Sue x
