Hi I have never heard of this one but I am presuming it is a preventer to be taken once or twice a day. In that case you should be able to breath a bit easier from day one as it will open your airways. It won't improve your lung function but just make it easier to breathe. x

It's what I take. For me it started to work straight away. It still works fine. I don't get short of breath anymore, and I haven't had to take my ventolin inhaler since.

I hope this helps

Do you mind if I ask what stage you are at, mild, moderate or severe? I have tried it and it didn't seem to do much for me but realize what seems to work for one person won't necessarily work for the next person.

Thank you

Stage 3 on the gold standard which I think is severe

Have you been referred to an Alpha 1 clinic, you really need to be? If you want I know of a good support group. Lorraine

I have tried salamol, fostair, atrovent, spiriva, symbicort, and spiolto respimat. none of them has made the slightest difference to me. my GP says they do not work for everyone, but I will keep on trying, seeing consultant next week so will probably have a new one to try.
