Blood in mucus

I've had a very bad cold for the last three days and I've had a really bad cough. My chest feels really tight and I wheeze constantly I've been using a blue inhaler that only work for a couple of hours but my chest is worse when I'm lying down. I just went to the loo and coughed up some lumps of blood any ideas please thanks

Hello Mason, it could be that you've burst a small blood vessel in your throat while coughing but it's probably best if you contact your surgery to ask for advice, or if they're closed now, ring the out of hours and tell them your symptoms. It could be that you have an infection and need antibiotics. Hope that helps x

Ok thank you my chest hurts and the back of my chest hurts when I cough so I will contact my doc tomorrow thanks again 😊

Yep i agree with all of the above definitely get it seen to. I had the same earlier in year was from infection and constant coughing.
