thank you so much xx

what a rotten time youhave been having. Be kind to yourself just now. Have a lot of rest with a little movement around now and then whilst the antibiotics are doing their job. It can take a long time for the pain from pleurisy to go.

Pleurisy is horrible and having had it twice I would strongly advise you to REST as much as possible. In my case it took several months before I was well but that does not mean you will be the same!

You do need to rest and take care of yourself. Don't be surprised if you need more than one course of antibiotics. Hopefully the pain will ease of soon.

A very warm welcome Jill. I'm sorry to hear you've got pleurisy. I believe it's very painful 😖

I think you need to get as much rest as possible & once the abs start to work you should feel the pain a bit easier. 😔

Hope you recover soon. 💐

Hello Jill and welcome. Pleurisy is horrible. You do need to rest but move a little and often. Drink plenty. Be gentle with yourself and give it time. Sue x

I really feel for you had it twice now couldn't believe just how painful it was even to turn on bed. I kept being sick and dizzy as well. Rest that is about all you can do and keep taking the tablets. I think mine lasted about four days but it did take a while longer before I felt myself again. No warning either went to bed felt fine woke during the night in intense pain. Hope you soon start to feel better.

Hello jill58 . Rest. Try and find a position you can lie in that is most comfortable. The antibiotics will kick in and you will feel better soon I hope. Take it easy. Let us know how you go. Much love to you.

I was told I had this when I was in my twenties. Try to stay as much as you can in your normal schedule. I found that when I slowed or dat all I did was think about the pain and how hard it was to breathe.
