Hi all I have recently been diagnosed with pleurisy I have been taking antibiocts for 3days now but still feeling pain in my chest feels very heavy and the pain in my left lung. Am a little worried as am on holiday next Friday any advise would be much appreciated ☺

Rest. Try and find a position you can lie in that is most comfortable. The antibiotics will kick in and you will feel better soon I hope. Take it easy.

It takes a while to recover. You need to rest a lot and drink plenty. Take care xx

When you said holiday..I wouldn’t fly without a clean xray..sorry... xx

Lasts at least a week - possibly longer if you are older. Take it nice and easy before you go.

hi it will take a while to get better- I found a hot water bottle to be very helpful - just put it where you hurt- also if you are going to a sunny climate; this will help your pleurisy to improve but take care and always see a doctor if in doubt. Take your European health card if travelling to Europe.
