We collected Murphy from the vets at lunchtime...he's much better, but still has a way to go before he's fully recovered.
He's to go back today week for another jab and the next lot of wormer...Susie is thinking he's had no injections and certainly hasn't ever been wormed...poor little chap has really not had the best of starts to his life.
She took him home again last night.
And she's going to see what she can do about the shelter...apparently she's had several people come to the surgery with half-dead cats and kittens they've got from there and is growing tired of it...most have been so sick she's had no option but to put them down.
Murphy has slept all afternoon...he did have a drink of water though when we first came home. He has a little bandage on his front leg where Susie put the cannula in and he doesn't like it one bit...at least when he's asleep he isn't chewing it.
So pleased to hear the little fella is home, sending loads of get well quick wishes,I hope the vet does contact one if not all of the links that Azure_Sky posted,it is not fair on the poor animals.
Little Murphy may not have had the best start, but we all know you will make sure the rest of his life is great, give him lots of gentle hugs from us all xx🐱
Pleased Murphy is home, so sorry to read about his problems and those of other unfortunate animals from this 'shelter'. Hopefully the love and care you have given will heal him, ready to enjoy a good life with you. Love Margaret x
We're all thinking of him Vashti. Good to hear he's improving. I sincerely hope the vet has some luck in getting that awful place closed. Expose them in the media if nothing else works - that'll do it!
So great to hear Murpay is home with you. A photo of him would be fantastic!
Actually I was going to post a photo on here but couldn't work out how to do it (as you can gather I am not very technical). If anyone has the time to tell me how to do it please? Carole x
Well done Murphy - I hope you and Himself are prepared for a life of servitude Vashti - "Dogs have masters, cats have servants". That's a great vet you've got and it's a chance something will now be done about the so-called shelter - am sick of charities getting cash under false pretences, unfortunately it's affecting the genuine ones. Have to say the RSPCA came off my list many years ago. Kiss on the nose for Murphy please.
Thinking of dear Murphy and hope he makes a really good recovery. I also hope that the shelter can be closed down or at least made much better. Not good at all.
Thanks for the update Vashti. xxx
