I am a carer for my husband who has copd and we have a Yorkshire terrier who was a breeder and before we had her she had three lots of puppies. We had her spayed. We have a mobile lady who comes and baths her and cuts her nails with my help. She is John's guardian angel and she loves him to bits. She loves her mummy too of course

Now I wonder if Poppy is just a little bit spoilt,Lol, I hope she is, all ex breeders give so much and get so little in return,so sad really, bless her,she looks very happy.
What a sweetie and such a great companion. Lovely Poppy. xxx
She's a sweetheart...we had a Yorkie named Baldrick...lol

I have two labs and wouldn't be without either. Glad they treat you both the same, my two favour me more than my husband, but I'm the one who feeds them and gives them their treats.

Wow! Ears!!! Can she fly, poppy?
I think ears are often the best bits on a dog, very soft very expressive. She's lovely
Aww Poppy, what a beautiful girl...loving the short hair look
Couldn't live without a dog; my vet tut-tutted when I got my Border Collie in an attempt to fill the void left by Alastair the beloved "Heinz" who was my solace when my husband died - when everyone got on with their busy lives he was there for me.
B.Cs need lots of exercise and not just physical - if they get bored they can operate like weapons of mass destruction so she runs like a lunatic on the local beach every day for more than an hour, courtesy of my son who adores her. She has her own fan-club and really plays to the gallery - she taught herself to do back-flips. can't think why, and once she knows the cameras are on her she gives it her all. Local kids love playing football with her - she passes the ball like a pro. She also has a huge garden to play in the rest of the time and, most importantly, companionship every hour of the day and night. Her pet hate is the TV (apart from One Man and his Dog, or Paul O'Grady which she watches avidly) and when I say "Let's see what's on telly" or even pick up TV Times she's gone! This is a small B.C who will take on anything on four legs who dares to try to sniff her rear end or muscle in on her footie - from poodles to GSDs she sends them packing. She regards the "box" as the window into hell I think. In a life-time of being owned by dogs she is the only one of my 5 Borders who thinks she's a lap-dog, so the tv comes in handy when the weight gets a bit much for my dodgy hips. So that's my Pippa. I think your Poppy is adorable and must be such fun to have around - my husband was John too and the faithful Alastair improved his quality of life so much.
Wow, she doesn't look like a Yorkie! My little guy, show quality, what did I care, only lived until he was 7, died of cancer, I was heart broken. He certainly was my care giver though. The really bitter part about though, is I should have known better than to buy into a TEA CUP dog. Yorkies were originally about 40 pounds and worked in the coal mines. They breed the stamina out of them with IN BREEDING, to make them designer dogs! The other bitter lesson it cost me about 15,000.00 dollars
