I have just managed to get back online after having lappy problems.
This was not how I imagined my first post back to be, but needs must.
A fellow member, tigger1977, has asked me to post on her behalf to let you know of her health situation. She is quiet and didn't want a fuss, but she is in need of support and a much needed boost at the moment. While we were discussing what she wanted me to say, she suddenly became more ill and was whisked off to hospital where she remains.
tigger wouldn't dream of asking for support but has agreed that she needs it, and knows how supportive and helpful you all are.
For some time now tigger has become increasingly unwell with emphysema, asthma, repeated infections, rapid weight loss. In recent months she has also developed heart problems, and only yesterday discovered she has renal cysts. In addition she has gastric problems with evidence of underlying malignancy and has been undergoing lots of tests to find out specific details. She also has epilepsy to contend with, which is not easy on top of other health issues. I know you will all agree that is a lot for anyone to have on their plate, and she is so young.
tigger is a gentle soul, and doesn't have a bad word to say about anyone, and has been dealing with her problems so well, but right now she needs all the hugs, love and support that we can muster.
I have heard from her briefly this morning, and I hope she doesn't mind me saying this, but as I type she is under her bed covers feeling very upset and low. I only tell you this, so you know how much she needs you all right now.
I realise many of you will not know her well, as she does not post often, but she does closely follow what is going on, and she has wifi in her ward so will be looking in later on, as she knows I am posting for her. She also is a single parent to a beautiful 5 year old daughter, who she loves with all her heart and soul.
I know also that she was a bit upset at a reply to a post she made, but this was unintentional and she misunderstood the original post I think, probably due to her being so unwell.
Thank you for reading my usual short post, but hope you understand there was a bit of information to pass on, and wanted to do tigger, justice.
lots of hugs,
Huggs xxxx

I have only just joined so I don't know Tigger1977 but I'm more than happy to send a huge hug from me, problem is I don't know how to use emoticoms or anything like that but if you close your eyes Tigger then I'm giving you the biggest warmest hug right now, wishing you better real soon & back with your lovely daughter. Take care & Good Luck xxx
I hope you don't mind the abbreviation, but please let me know if you do. Thank you so much for sending your support to tigger, which I know she will greatly appreciate. Don't worry about emoticoms or whatever, as your caring is enough.
Take care, and welcome to the forum as well, and hope you find any help, advice and support you need.
" Huggs. It is so good knowing that your back with us again. But!! i was also so sorry to learn about Tigger1977 and her awful health issues right now. i will go and light a candle for her as soon as i have written this post. Thanks for that, and I am glad to be back among you all again, but sad at having to post about tigger, but she is in the best place right now. She will appreciate your support, and I will be sure to tell her your message, but am hopeful that later in the day when she is feeling a bit more like it, she will read them for herself, but I am taking notes, just in case she isn't up to it.
You take care too, and I hope you are doing well yourself.
hugs from Huggs xxx
Hi tigger my love I hope you are feeling much better soon and out of that dreadful hospital. Am thinking of you. Love and hugs. xx
Couldn't have put it better myself!! In fact, a while ago I told her my last dog, named Tammy, but nicknamed tigger on account of her bouncing everywhere instead of walking. I ended up saying that Tammy never lost her bounce. So what does tigger go and do? She only went and got a tattoo, saying 'never lost her bounce'. !! LOL She then took a photo of it, and sent it to me. ha ha
She will appreciate your support Rib, and I will be in touch later, as I have only just managed back online safely.
hugs from Huggs xxx
hiya hugs and hope you weather the storms coming So sorry to hear about Tigger, I am gonna look for some virtual flowers I have taken and send them to her with love xxxxxxxxx
That is a lovely thought, and tigger will greatly appreciate it. I just hope she feels up to coming online soon to see the messages.
There was a storm here yesterday which abated for a short period and is starting up again, and worse is to come, for much of the country I think. I am supposed to be going to the respiratory clinic tomorrow but highly doubt whether I will get there. To be honest, I am not that bothered as it is just a routine appointment, and my treatment would not be getting changed as I am quite stable in that department at the moment, and have managed to avoid infections and colds, which is great.
Take care, and look forward to seeing your virtual flowers.
I'm so sorry to hear about your problems Tigger, I hope your soon back with us and with your young daughter. I really hope you have support in the community. Take care.
Thanks for replying and sending support to tigger, and I know she will be extremely grateful for. She does have a good support network at home, but just needs an extra boost just now.
Your in the best place Tigger and with luck they'll work their magic and fix you. Let the nurses wait on you and the pills do their job, then get yourself home.
Lots of Love Tony xx (and great to see you back online huggs x )
Thanks for replying and supporting tigger. I know she will be very grateful of your support when she is able to read the replies. She is like me in the sense that she cannot settle in hospital, but I think this time she is going to have to try, and I am hoping that these messages will encourage her.
Its good to be back on line Tony, albeit with internet connection problems now!! This is due to the weather and work being done locally on our broadband.
I have to tell you ( was going to add to your post, but will do it here instead), that last night I was busy trying to catch up and found your post of you singing your heart out sometime just after Christmas, and loved it. As an experiment, ( do you remember Felix, my cat's reaction to me singing?) I let you sing away and Felix never budged although he was right next to lappy, so I replayed it, and this time I sang along happily and Felix bolted!!! I love singing, but my voice is sooooooo bad. lol Well done, and loved the hat, and the twirl at the end.
Hope 2015 goes well for you, and you get good news soon.
Glad you and felix enjoyed my singing for lung exercise video, its a bit of fun with a serious message that singing, no matter how bad can do us some good. (no ref to you of coarse huggs)
Hopefully tigger will find like I did that Hospital visits get easier the more you have them. I did have a 4 month stay once so I got to know a lot of the staff on the ICU and respiratory ward which does help if I ever return.
The hospital had me in on Monday for a little bike ride but it was no steady ride in the country :).
Just had a look at your photo, and you are looking very able bodied indeed!! A testament to what we can do if we exercise and push as far as safety allows. I would have thought you would have had more of these types of tests before, but just assuming that, as I don't know much about it. I know I wouldn't get far on that test, but I am betting you did. On the bright side, at least you didn't have the wind and rain to bother you on your bike ride. ha ha.
Take care, and I fully intend to sing when I feel like it, and if His Lordship wants to flee the scene he can do, then I don't feel so guilty at subjecting him to it. lol
Take care,
hugs from Huggs xxx
Hi Huggs,
Don't come on here often (too many illnesses and too many forums, something has to give) but I'm glad I did today, and found this post from you. Good to have you back, but very sorry to hear about Tigger. I hope she will manage to read these supportive posts. Sending her love and best wishes. xxx
I am so sorry that you are not keeping so well, and hope things improve for you soon. I do understand what you mean by 'too many illnesses ' and other things going on. Sometimes we just have to take a bit of time. I had that time enforced on me by lappy problems, but found it very frustrating as the option was taken away from me, but found I slept a great deal of the time. lol
Thank you for taking the time to respond to tigger's situation, and I know she will appreciate every single response, so thanks again, and particularly when feeling so ill yourself.
Hi Huggs, So pleased you are back on line. Sorry to hear about Tiger1977's health. Much love to you Tiger & hopefully a bouquet of virtual flowers, if I can get them posted.
Thank you for your lovely and kind response to tigger, which she will be very grateful for. She will love the flowers if you can manage it, but if you can't she will appreciate the thought.
I am glad to be back online too!! Now there is problems with the internet though, due to local work being done on broadband and the weather, so I am presently rushing to reply to all that I can. Thanks again.
Its great to be back online again, but have internet connection problems now, so if I disappear again, then that is the likely reason, as the weather is due to get worse.
Thank you for sending good wishes to tigger, and she needs all the cuddles she can get just now, and I know they will give her a huge boost.
You are so right. She is one brave lady, and never complains and just gets on with things as best she can with a great positive attitude, and still caring for others despite her own situation.
I am hoping that she will soon be able to read these messages herself. Thanks again for showing your support for her.
Please add my heartfelt support for Tigger and the hope that she is feeling better soon. That's quite a load for her to carry the poor girl. A big virtual for her as well as you Huggs.
Its great to be back!! Now having internet connection problems though and was offline for a while after this post, but back on now. It is very iffy though due mainly to the weather.
Thank you for showing support to tigger, as the poor girl needs a huge boost just now, and has done so well so far, and just trying now to encourage her to stay in hospital which is where she needs to be, but misses her daughter.
Aww Huggs, how thoughtful of you to post on behalf of your friend Tigger.
Tigger, I am soo sorry to hear about your current situation. I sincerely wish you the best of luck and hope that your health ; physical and emotional improves very soon. Lots of love. Ruth. x
No Problem Huggs, never know when we my need a little support. My heart went out to tigger and of course to her little girl , who most likely will pick up on her mum's emotional health. . They will be in my prayers. Take Care Huggs. xx
Oh poor tigger, what an awful time you are going through. I am sure you are in the best place at the moment to be looked after so please just relax and let them do their work.
I am sending my love, hugs and prayers for you and hope you will soon be well enough to be back with your little girl.
Thank you for showing your support and concern for tigger, and be assured she will be very grateful and uplifted when she reads the messages. She has been having an awful time for months now, but didn't want a fuss, but we discussed it last night and she felt the time was right for everyone to know her situation.
On another note Polly, I have been offline for a while due to lappy problems but as I was trying to catch up found a post about your husband being very ill, but now discharged from hospital? I hope I have got that right and not mixed up, so I hope he continues to improve and that you keep better too.
Yes you have it right Huggs, he is home now, he went in with pneumonia and they said he was critical so we feared the worse. Saying that his discharge notes say they have found he has acute appendicitis with no pain, so they are treating him with antibiotics, and must go into hospital immediately if the pain starts so treading on egg shells a bit, fingers crossed the tablets work.
What a shame, it never rains but it pours, and you must have been worried sick. I hope the antibiotics do the trick re his appendicitis and that he continues to make a good recovery from pneumonia, which is extremely weakening as you will know. It took me a few months to fully get over it, and I was not critical.
Thank you so much for that, and tigger is a believer, so will appreciate that as well.
Take care, and thanks again,
hugs from Huggs xxx
Hi Huggs, sending tigger huge hugs, to young to be going through so much, nobody of any age deserves this illness but I bet her daughter is sad too and missing her mom so a huge hugs to both . Take care tigger and accept the help and support. Xx Sonia xx
Thanks for that, I am just trying to catch up a bit on the forum, and yes I am taking care, as I have barely moved from the couch all day. I should be moving around a bit more, but have had a lot extra to do lately so having a complete rest day, will not do any harm.
Thank you Flibberti for your lovely and encouraging post, which I hope tigger is managing to read by now, although to be honest she would be better off sleeping a while and resting, but the messages are there for her when she is ready to log on or log in, or whatever. lol
tigger is positive and adventurous by nature, so once she is feeling better it will not be long until she is making plans as you suggest.
Thanks again for taking the time to reply and for caring, and you take care too.

Welcome back Huggs I was thinking of you and wondering how you were coping with the stormy weather. Please pass on my good wishes to Tigger, so sorry she has been so poorly and hope she is soon feeling very much better. I look forward to seeing her back online when she feels up to it! Hugs to you both, Xris x
Thanks for the welcome back Xris, and its good to be back, although I have so much catching up to do, and a storm is due to hit us later on tonight so frantically trying to catch up since before Christmas!!
Thanks also for your support for tigger, and your message will give her a lift. Hope you are keeping okay at the moment.
Thanks for that, and I know tigger will appreciate it. Although she doesn't post much she keeps an eye on what is going on so she has probably read some of your posts.
Thanks for the welcome back, and especially for your support and good wishes for tigger. Let us hope that another night of rest and treatment in hospital has improved things for her and she is feeling a bit better. You are right that the all the messages will give her a big boost when she is able to read them.
You do have an enormous amount to cope with! I will think of you often and wish you well. Try to relax and let the professionals make you better. Don't worry about posting! Snuggle down and think positive thoughts!
Hi Huggs, glad to see you back online, and being your usual caring, compassionate self. I want to add my best wishes for tigger and hope things improve for her and she is soon well enough to go home to her little girl. Much love and hugs for you both.
Thanks so much for the welcome back, and for your support of tigger, which she will greatly appreciate, and give her a much needed boost.
Hope you are doing okay at the moment.
love and warm hugs,
Huggs xxx
Hi Huggs, great to see your back on line. I don't know Tigger yet, but sending her my warmest thoughts and love until i do! I think most of us have been in that dark hole she's in right now, but this to shall pass. Much love Kin Xx
Thanks a lot for showing support to tigger when she is in need of it. As I have said she doesn't post all that much but does come on for a read and see how everyone is doing. She is very gentle, but strong and stubborn so with that and all the support she is getting, she will be fine.
Thanks so much for that. Tigger has been in touch this morning and is sounding much better, but still unwell. She is all wired up, and has tubes in as well. She was waiting on the Consultant coming round.
She has now managed to read some of the posts from everyone and is completely overwhelmed by the support and kindness shown by everyone. When I get a minute I will post this.
Thanks for that, she needs all the cuddles she can get just now, and all the messages of support have boosted her no end. She has now been able to read many of them, and has been moved to tears.
I think I have seen your name around, but as I have had a number of health and lappy issues have not been around as much.
Nice to meet you, and thank you so much for your support for tigger, I will be posting an update later, just waiting to hear what she wants me to say.
I can say though, that she has been well enough today to read many of the posts and is going back online later to continue to see the huge support she is getting, and she has been so lifted by it. Thanks again,
We're all rooting for you tigger - me included even though I don't know you, but I know the challenges you face and wish you the strength to do just that, face them. You sound like such a fab, gutsy lady, I know you'll be back with your little one soon. In the meantime just make the most of a bit of rest and TLC - you deserve it. Hope to see you on here very soon, love and all good things coming your way. DM
Thanks so much for showing your support and caring for Tigger, which she greatly appreciates. These lovely messages have moved her to tears and given her a much needed boost.
She is not quite so well today, but I am sure she will improve soon after more rest and treatment. That is what she needs.
Hope you are well, and I was wondering how you got on with that book we discussed ages ago? Hope you don't mind me asking.
Sorry for taking so long to get back to you but the internet has been down much of the day due to the storms but there is a lull at the moment so taking advantage while I can and trying to reply as much as I can.
