Afternoon

I've just had a re-test for borderline Osteoporosis after taking Risedronate and Vitamin D for a year, and I'm very happy to say my hip has improved by 3% and spine 1%.

I'll take small triumphs.

Wow. Impressive.

I have the pre osteoporosis condition and I wasn't offered anything. Not to mention having had it for ten years since the previous test when they didn't tell me. I'd called for the result and was told it was fine. Grrrr

Pleased for you though and for that information. I'll get on the case. P

Well done Kimmy. I have been borderline for a while and having eaten steroids this past year like they are sweets (not literally but my exacerbations have been more frequent), i have been prescribed Vit D. i should take twice a week i think and some other tabs that i need to take once a week. I am pleased to hear that they do work. I wont know what the tabs will be until i pick them up from the pharmacy tomorrow, but i am comforted because if i jump... with the amount of tabs i am taking as i take on some more, i will rattle...lol

I really didn't think you could improve, just thought it would keep it at bay. What you been prescribed my one I have to take with plenty of water and sit still for half an hour, and I didn't know until yesterday I shouldn't take the vitamin D on the same day.

I am not sure what I will be taking until i collect it from the pharmacy tomorrow, i will let you know . Sitting still is fine by me lol. Its good to know not to take Vit D on the same day.

According to a well know supermarket....every little helps and in this case its information. Thanks again

Hi

I will be taking Alendronic Acid tabs 1 x weekly and VitD 20,000iu 2 x a month. Don't bother buying a baby's rattle, ask me to jump near their vicinity, lol.

Keep warm and have a good weekend all xx

Well done Kimmy ! It's great to hear of things that work out better then we expected.

Thanks for that heads up kimmy. I have it too and take the same medication and have been taking my Vit D twice a day as normal. I tell you, the Dr's don't tell us nothing. I'm beginning to lose faith in them.
