Well good for you Offcut - at least you've both had it.
Seems no way of telling when you'll be affected. Ive had two dreadful times with horrid symptoms, but Saturday's jab produced none at all. Why some folk get a reaction some times and others don't might make an interesting study for some boffin.
My husbands arm was really red and swollen but not mine! We didnt feel well for about three days but we weren't ill. Cannot understand how it can affect people so differently! But very relieved to have had it! TADxx
It really is strange, it gives me a swollen arm, stiff and hurts to touch or lie on. It lasts about two days my hubby doesn't affect at all. Still well worth having.
I hope to heavens it is NOT a live virus. If it is, then I am not going to have mine. the last time I had a live virus was in the sixties and I got the worst flu one could imagine...off work for over 2 weeks. I swore I would never have another one, but my nurse persuaded me that it is no longer live and I would not get the flu.....and I have had them for about 5 years now with no flu. I am soo worried now I have read your post. I won;t let them give it to me if they confirm that it is live. I am booked to have it on the 18th. As much as I didn't want to hear this, I am glad you posted it so we can all check it out if we want. Hope you and your wife are well
I don't think I will tell Pete anything as he hates the jab anyway. We are having ours on the 11th (Pete's birthday) and are going out for a meal in the evening so I am keeping everything crossed that he feels well. xxx
I can't get mine yet I have had a chest infection for the last 2 and half weeks I'm going back to the GP Monday for more meds. I'm not sure I will have mine this year my last one was done October and I can't remember how many times I have had the flu
