I too had a very sore arm and felt dreadful after the pneumonia jab for 48 hours then progressively better after a further 48 hours. I've absolutely no regrets though because I've not had pneumonia since (and I had it 5 times over less than 2 years).

I wouldn't fancy having more than one inoculation at the same time, if offered I say no thanks I'll come back for the other.

My 3 month grandchild had several inoculations at the same time- the usual MMR, the flu and one against gastro enteritis. Little Martha was violently ill for weeks and my daughter has no idea which one caused the trouble.

Hope you feel better soon and hope you will still take precautions against cathing any other bugs. P

Hi Katkat, yes, I had an awful pain in my armpit and partway into the side of my chest after mine. I have fibro and I think the injection caught a muscle, even though it was given in my upper arm. It was quite painful and lasted about 2 weeks.

I've had the pneumonia jab but no longer have the flu jab.

My choice because:-

1) there's no guarantee it will prevent different strains of flu (mutating all the time)

2) enough chemicals are going into my fat but shrinking body as it is! (lol)

3) I prefer to take my chances with 1000mg vitamin C daily

4) my other half went down with a really bad cold - then coughed and sneezed for over a month after the last one - and he DOESN'T have COPD!! (I was fine ... so he decided to opt out as well)

Hope you feel better very soon. It's good that the pneumonia jab is only needed once!

I had pneumonia after a pneumonia jab! My GP said that it wasn't guaranteed 100%! My White Blood Cells count is so low that I would not be able to develop proper antibodies. Last Autumn,I had pneumonia. and a touch of TB, didn't take the flu jab as I was recovering from those two illnesses!
