I think I told you I had to re home my darling Greyhound due to my health. Well heartbreaking as it was he has now got a new home with a lovely Lady who is very healthy and able to give him a much better life than I ....he is only two years old and full of life......Love is letting go when you know you are beat.

Aww Baily,I gave up my Westie after 13yrs to a lovely family in Exmouth 3 weeks ago...It broke my heart and I cried for a week, but I know they can care for him better than I can now as I have no breathe left..

People knew how much he meant to me, he was my life, but love stepped in and I know hes happy.......

How strange, I had Westies all my married life, I adored them, how sad for you they are great palls. This illness is a curse, there are so few things left that I can cope with and giving up Baily was like the last straw. However like you he will have a better life in front of him so that consoles me...

Yes it,s a big sacrifice , so glad you have photoes of him now happy. I am still waiting for photoes of Baily so finding it hard, once I see him happy then I will relax......there is no fun in life now without him however we have to accept where we are in life and get on with it....Nice to be in touch with you ....

I miss my Jack so much, and still have a cry over him.I know he is happy and in a better place.I could not do any more for him,but being 13 I think it may be a blessing as well as I won't have to go through all the bad things when the time comes...

Just remember he was loved, and you have done the right thing so he can carry on being loved and looked after xxxxx

That is good news you found a good new owner for your dog, but it will take time to come to terms with as does any parting.

We know they are not forever but they become part of your family and heart. We had a crazy standard poodle that broke our hearts when he had to be put down when his nervous system failed. I would love another dog but could not walk it as much as it would need :(

We must keep up our walks as it is good for us, I have not left the house since Baily went but when the pain lessons I intend to do a daily walk that I can cope with......

oh crumbs. Was really moved by your post and so sorry you and Porche had to let go of your loved pets. They are so special and as Offcut says, part of the family.

I'm going to go & hug my Fred right now.

Hug to you xxx

Oh how I know how that feels. Had animals all my 75 years. Horses, dogs cats. Got down to one cat that was found in the middle of a parking lot when she was about 3 months old. She was the most special, Zoie was with me 3 yrs and I knew I couldn't take care of her any longer. I am not able to drive any longer, and can't bend over to clean litter box, etc. But she has a great home with my daughter and lives the good life. Nice big house, pool (loves the water) and has a cat friend. She didn't know she was a cat. It was harder to give her up than the car. But she is happy, and that is what counts. She sleeps with my daughter and all it good. Still miss her. But we do what we have to

I love cats but I have a wonderful variety of birds in my garden and spend endless hrs. Watching them it,s magic listening to them sing....so no cats for me...
