Hi everyone , as many of you know I lost my much loved husband , Geoff, on April .9th. Since then my family and I have tried hard to celebrate his life more than mourn his death , of course we are only human and so there have been tears and times of sadness but we’ve held each other up and overall been able to carry on remembering him every day and smiling as he would’ve wanted . At 1.44 this morning , 6th May , on the day of the coronation of King Charles 111. Our own little prince , Jude Geoffrey , came into the world , our third great grandchild 😊 I hope his first photographs cheer you up , he was crowned by the midwives and presented with his royal gifts Geoff served in the grenadier guards and loved pomp and ceremony he would be thrilled to have this latest addition to the family come into the world on this historic day . I hope that somewhere in some way he’s sharing in our joy 😊

I’ve been crying tears of joy all morning Alberta . I can’t tell you how proud Geoff would’ve been to have this happen today especially as Jude Geoffrey wasn’t due until the 18th . It feels , as I said when Geoff passed , that some higher power is walking beside us every day , lifting us when we stumble 😊 xx

Thank you Jean , no it’s not a common name now but when it was suggested by my granddaughters partner soon after Geoff died we all thought it had a certain ring to its even though none of us particularly liked the name Geoffrey 😂To everyone else he’ll no doubt be known as Jude but to me he’ll always be Jude Geoffrey 🥰. I hope you have good friends to take the place of the family you don’t have 🙏 xx

I feel sure your Geoffrey must be looking on with huge pride and sending you all his love.Little Jude Geoffrey looks wonderful in his crown! And I see he has a packet of wildflower seeds to grow. These would make a lovely memorial for your Geoffrey as well as for the coronation.

yes the wildflowers will no doubt be planted in my garden and hopefully return every year to remind us of a very special , if bitter sweet , time I’ve been trying to think of ways to commemorate Geoff and I think those seeds might be the start of a lovey peaceful corner where the family can sit and enjoy the memories 😊 xx

Jude Geoffrey is a gorgeous wee soul, and I love his hat! Congratulations to all his loving family. I'm sure there will have been a lot of mixed emotions around his arrival, as the loss of his great-grandpa is still so raw, but I really admire your strength and know that this will bring you much joy. wonderful and congratulations on your young monarch . The woman priest at my mothers funeral spoke of the circle of life and (whilst she didn’t know my mum and was rather irritating) I thought that a good concept to keep in mind to help with the pain of grief and still look forward .
