Hyperinflation

Hi Guys......I used the incorrect terminology in my previous question......I should have used hyperinflation (not hyperventilation).

Hi I have hyper inflated lungs too, I think quite a few others here do as well. I also have long lungs and have to tell the radiographer when I have an x ray. I don't know if the chest muscles expand naturally between the ribs. Have you asked the BLF helpline? The gp didn't tell my anything and I am afraid I didn't ask either. I don't know if it makes me hyperventilate as well. I did post a question months ago about the condition. Hope someone else can give you more information

Hi Stilltruckin - the first reference (ATS journal) is very interesting, but the second I find somewhat perplexing.......is the reference correct? Martin

Just as i said in your previous post .. need to watch for foods that make condion worse and like a said when you do hyperinflate can take time to disburst .. but i would go an see you doc

the ramifications of such a condition have the appearance of delayed reaction, whereby a considerable amount of hyperinflation is in existence prior to becoming noticeable.
