Hello out there, can anyone tell me why, when I am taking antibiotics for an infection I still have so much pain! Pain in my ankles, my neck shoulders arms and my lungs. I'm taking ciprofloxin and pain killers, I had no sleep last night until gone 5am when I finally got a couple of hours in. Feeling very miserable and irritable help!

Kissi if you are getting pain, espeicially in your legs whilst on Cipro you might want to go back to see your gp. I, along with some other peeps cannot take Cipro as it can cause tendonitis - not in everyone but needs checking.

Thank you cofdrop, that makes sense, although have been taking ciprofloxin as my resue ab and only recently had this symptom. I will check it out. Thanks again

Hi Blakeyc many thanks for the link, I have quite a few of those symptoms so will go see my pharmacist today and doctors tomorrow. The pain I can deal with but the no sleep when tired coupled with the pain I really can't deal with. Thanks for your response. It has made a difference. Am feeling more positive now (my normal attitude to all this) and the 22nd of this month I'll be admitted to the RBH so roll on the 22nd. Thank you again

Sometimes (over time) our tolerance to meds can change and we don't always get the connection. Also I think sometimes we are more concerned not knowing than when we understand why something is occurring.
