~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Understand Your Man
................Me and the wife have been married for more than xx years
We have shared everything.
We have talked about everything.
We have kept no secrets from each other except that my wife had a shoe box on top of her wardrobe that she had warned me never to open or ask her about it.
For all of these years, I had never thought about the box , but one day, and after so many years of happy
marriage we decided to sort out our affairs.
I took the box from the wife's wardrobe top and took it to my wife , who was sitting in her chair.
She agreed that it was time that I should know what was in the box.
When I opened it ,I found two crochet dolls and a stack of money.
I was gobsmacked, we had been living on a meagre income all this time and there in this box of hers was all this wealth.
I asked her about the contents.
''When we were about to be married,'' she said, ''My grandmother said to me the secret of a happy marriage was never to argue.
She told me that if I ever got angry with you, I should keep quiet and crochet a doll.''
Well I was overcome with emotion, yes me, I had to fight back the tears, Go on call me a silly old sod!
Only two precious dolls were in the box
The wife had only been angry with me two times in all those years of living and loving.
Well I almost burst with happiness.
''My darling,'' I said '' that explains the dolls, but what about all of this huge amount of money.
Where did it come from?''
''Oh,'' she said to me, ''that's the money I made from selling the dolls.''
............................................The Prayer For Understanding
Dear Lord I pray for wisdom to understand my man:
Love to forgive him;
And patience for his moods;
Because Lord , if I pray for Strength,
I'll beat him to death.................because I don't know how to crochet
