The DWP it's been 11weeks since I'd sent back my ESA form, although the lady on the other end tried her best to be helpful she didn't have any information, has anyone else been in this situation? I think it's really poor keeping people waiting nearly 3 months!!!

I just applying for ESA not sure i will get anything ...so it's a long process ? :sue
Thanks fliberti I'm just finding this so frustrating and it does create anxiety, it's not right I think they do this to wear you down like some sort of psychological game when all most of us want is to know!!
I'm 62yrs old next year and receive my state pension how hard is it to make a decision now after nearly 3 months?
Sue don't hold your breath it is a long drawn out process, not on our part I might add.
xx
Hello Swallow..
..
It took me 12 weeks and they backdated it. However they never asked how I was managing during that 12 weeks and I had to pay full rent until it had been confirmed. I was extremely unwell at the time and did the council care? Of course not Holly x
they should have paid you the low rate for the 12 weeks you were waiting which is £71 pounds a week hope you have asked council for your rent money back
What is ESA ?
employment and support allowance this replaced incapacity benifits
Oh.... thanks teaky19.

I think the people who have to manage on little lead a very difficult life and it annoys me sometimes to see how they're treated, when it's obvious these people are ill and deserve their benefits. The powers that be make it very hard for them and it's not right.
