saline nebules

I have been to the doctors today she has given me saline nebs to try ,do i put the neb in on there own in the chamber or mix it with the salbutamol thankk you

Our matron says you can use them on their own, as and when required. Hope that helps

Either depends on whether you have the time because it obviously takes a bit longer with both. The Saline though can be used even when you don't need the sal if you are congested

Either or - you can use them alone to loosen the congestion. All as Jan says.

Ive just been given them today as well although I had to ask for them after doing abit of research. First time brill, killed me coughing tho second time not as good but I do feel more lubricated!! Keep smiling

They help me cough up any mucus, I had them in hospital but my gp reluctant to give me them,, don't know why, but managed to persuade a new doctor to prescibe some a few weeks ago I find them very useful

Hi newlands

I know in hospital they often give both together but this is for speed. It is best to use your salbutamol first separately to open your tubes, followed by your saline. Especially so if using hypertonic.

Hi guys I use the salbutamol nebuliser first then the 0.9% saline nebuliser between space I seem to bring mor phlegm up
