Just back out of hospital after my latest exacerbation , as they wheeled me in it was on the covid ward they went into , ok though, i was put in a ward with 3 other copd people, along with all the usual tests etc i was put on a saline drip , never had that before, but all night i was up and down to the toilet ,was told among other things that is what it does , i must say i felt a lot better the next day , or was it all the steroids they pumped into me.

The drip must have been a bit of a pain having to keep needing the toilet, so not much rest as a result. Good that you were feeling a lot better the following day in spite of that. Glad that you are now home. I hope that you stay well xx

Glad you are back home safe, saline drip is to replace body fluids and salts lost, perhaps you were dehydrated. Keep drinking the water to stay hydrated and feet better soon.

I was about to mention dehydration but Bkin already did. My daughter, who’s a physio always tells her dad to drink water as he doesn’t naturally do this. She’s always saying dehydration causes breathing difficulties so keep topping up.

So glad you’re out of hospital and feeling a bit better.

I've had quite a few trips to hospital, not all admissions. Every time they seem to put me on a saline drip. It seems to be part of their normal procedure. I've never had a problem with needing the loo too much. Maybe I've been dehydrated and that's why.

Anyway, as long as you're ok now, that's the main thing. Keep well now! xx Moy
