Happy New Year to all.I have been coughing since November 2024 with little sleep, despite being on Symbicort 320. Last Monday, my Asthma specialist changed my treatment to Trimbow 175/ to be administered through a spacer. Is anyone on Trimbow and what should I expect?

hi, is your cough from a virus or asthma? I’ve had a dry cough from late December and still have it now?

Hello, I hope you are well. The cough is from asthma. A blood test was done and no infection was found. It's sometimes dry and sometimes with a lot of mucus that much be evacuated. I was diagnosed with asthma since 1995.

I have been on Trimbow since October 2024 and it is an improvement on my previous inhaler

Dear Msccruises, thanks for your message. Do you use a spacer with the Trimbow? I'm on two puffs twice daily using the spacer.

dear Ossing

I have been on Trimbow for several years and it is a definite improvement

And yes spacer is necessary and helpful

The asthma nurse or GP or Trimbow website will show you how to use it best

Good luck!

Thanks Muldrew. I'm using the spacer for the first time. It was never proposed to me. I will keep the group updated.

two things made a big change to my asthma. Firstly changing to Trimbiw 87/5/9 and being prescribed Famotidine.

My peak flow has increased from averaging 390 to 420+

The Famotidine has addressed the silent reflux in my throat so much less mucus, huskiness and coughing.

Thanks Oldandgray. I'm on Trimbow 172/5/9. I had been on Omeprazol for reflux but my Endocrinologist thinks Omeprazol was hindering my treatment for hypothyroidism, I am confused because the Asthma specialist wants me to continue using it.

Hi oozing if you have been coughing so long, you need a review by Gp , Asthma nurse or a chest physian, I hope you get sorted soon.
