Post covid wheezing

Hi all. I got covid 28th Feb and was laid low for just over a week, not with a new cough etc specifically, just other symptoms.

However 10 days post testing positive, I’ve had bouts of wheezing and tightness (more than ever before) and I’m using my rescue inhaler lots more.

I need to see my asthma nurse this week but just wondered if anyone had had similar.

I had the same and it’s seemed to be longish term for me seeing as I had covid in December. I had montelukast added and just gone up to fostair 200/6

Thank you. I’m waiting to see my doctor (wish me luck lol) I have montelukast but am on Seretide and Ventolin. I wonder if I need a change. I hope you are better x

Yeah maybe a change or my gp maxed me out on fostair if you aren’t maxed out on seritide yet

I’m the same. I had covid end of January, since then numerous flare ups and asthma attacks and chest feels tight and random coughing fits.I’ve been to hospital after having an asthma attacks, several doctors appointments. All I’ve been told is that it’s most likely covid and can last 6 months after having covid.

They’ve given me steroids a couple of times which helped slightly and changed some dosages of my medication.

Certainly a trip to the GP/asthma nurse wouldn’t hurt. Hope you get better.
