Covid19 - copd/astma/inhaler
If someone is asthmatic then yes they help in that they still need to be taken regularly as prescribed (as they should be all the time), as without them the person's asthma would be less controlled. But they're not a treatment for covid symptoms other than that. Not sure if that's what you mean?
I am pretty sure they use them for patients that have Covid 19 as there was/is a shortage of Ventolin inhalers here in my country because of it. Usually, when I get my prescription refilled, there are 20 or more refills for Ventolin marked on my puffer (which lasts me a while before I have to call to get a new prescription), but the last three months, there are only 2 refills marked on my puffer. So annoying....having to call my doctor for another prescription every few weeks. But yes. I think they do work for people who have the virus.
The shortages in the UK weren't because they were being used for covid - the shortages was people stockpiling them "in case" (including people who rarely used the ones they had).
Thx. May be you get more oxygen and less inflammation
