Breathlessness issues

Hello, this is my first post. I’ve been having severe breathlessness issues for several months, my cardiologist took me off bisoprolol beta blocker as he wondered if this has exacerbated the situation, 9 weeks on no improvement. I saw my asthma nurse Tuesday had spirometers tests and am seeing a respiratory specialist next week. I don’t go out much as walking causing breathlessness and I get hoarse cos t speak and get light headed and dizzy. I’m on flutiform and salbutamol been on these 10 years but it’s on,y in last few months this breathlessness has become a problem. I was upset as my nurse said I may have idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis scared the hell out of me, I’ve managed to shelve and I think until I have in-depth lung tests and a proper diagnosis I will deal with the situation, I wish medics wouldn’t tell you what their experience of symptoms may mean. Wish they’d wait till a proper full diagnosis has been done. I’ve never smoked am slight,y overweight now as am unable to go to my exercise classes. I am 65 going on 40 in my head.

I wish medics wouldn’t tell you what their experience of symptoms may mean. Wish they’d wait till a proper full diagnosis has been done. They always say "I think it could be ??" with no definite explanation or information from tests carried out. If you query their reply you might as well save your breath to blow your porridge. Having said that I personally have good back up from most NHS staff except A & E who if blood tests are OK they try to send you home.
