Extreme cold - face covering/steamed specs, inhalers not working

Has anybody found a way to do the scarf/snood thing without their glasses immediately steaming up? My OH, a biker, gets from his forums that the various spray-on-glasses demist products don't work and I have never managed to crack it.

I had to give up trying to cover my face and was fine for the first few days in Canada visiting my son, even with seriously minus temperatures, until my inhalers both started to pack up. Really hard to find any mention of this even on Canadian asthma websites but I suspect those things are more temperature sensitive than we're told - even though my Fostair is dispensed from pharmacy fridge storage!

Five days with increasingly feeble or no preventer squirts and Ventolin almost as reluctant and I was glad to be back, neither I nor my devices are completely ok even after nearly a week. I'm hoping things will normalise in a few more days but think we need more advice on taking meds abroad - for instance is there a reason Fostair doesn't seem to have a direct North American equivalent like Ventolin does? (UK salbutamol=US albuterol)

As a biker in the U.K. who wears specs I buy cyclists face masks- you know the type with a metal or plastic grips for the nose. I find they work well.

Also cooling off specs in refrigerator before going out seems to help.
