Relvar Ellipta

Hi everyone, has anyone used this? I don't get on well with Fostair so my respiratory physician has suggested Relvar. Has anybody used this and if so is there anything anyone can comment on? Thanks xx

Hi I'm on Relvar ellipta 184. For me it works better than Symbicort 400.

I think it has smaller particles maybe that get into narrower airways or something like that.

My asthma is generally very tricky and hasn't been well controlled in years, but the relvar seems to work best for me from what is available.

The thing I like best is I can take it in the morning and don't have to take it again that day. Also I have much less inhaler shakes hands with it and feel less shaky generally.

The thing I don't like is you can't double it up so when my asthma is really playing up I'm onto nebs and pred.

Mainly tho I like it.

I'm on the relvar, zafirlukast, omeprazole, ranitidine, fexofenadine and I've just had a kenalog injection to see how that goes.

Hope the relvar works for you.

Thank you Emily, this gives me hope. I'm on Desloratadine for my allergies, I found I had mood changes in fexo! Keep well, all the best xx

Fexo made me feel like id been hit by a train to begin with - I was sooooo tired, but that didn't last thankfully. I can't remember any side effects when I started the relvar, just my inhaler shake got less 😊

Fingers and toes crossed for you xxx

I've tried lots of different inhalers and the Relvar has been fantastic for me. No weight gain either for me with this one. some of the others have been spectacular!

I took my first dose of Relvar today. My pulse shot up from 82 from 108 within 3-4 minutes and it took over an hour to settle BUT after that I felt great and I'm really hopeful this will be a turning point. I'm going to take it at 6am tomorrow so I can be in bed while the initial tachycardia settles. Very pleased so far. Thank you all for your comments of support xx
