After having my endoscopy two weeks ago where they found some small erosion in three places and advised to not take ibuprofen or aspirin. I went back to see the doctor who referred me. He said that it would take time for those erosions to heal perhaps a month. I still getting my symptoms and am not on any medication for it. He given me another different medication beginning with r proloze (sorry very tired at the moment) end of termintesss. I have to take this for the next two weeks to see if this helps and the symptoms will stop.
I hope and pray that they will but if they don't then I will be referred to a gastrologist. Not keen on that. I still waiting for request for surgery on my polytic which isn't usually funded. (exceptional request has been done by another one of my great GPs at my local surgery). I going to chase that up tomorrow.

I assume they have given you PPIs to reduce your somach acid? Seeing a Gastroenterologist will be a good thing as they should be able to find the cause of the reflux, you want one who specialises with stomach and the oesophagus end and not the other end!
Yes I have had 3 kinds of PPi and now trying my 4th. Just started yesterday 20mg. . Yes I appreciate that gastrologist does the top end I have to friend who is a nurse who works in a clinic that does top and bottom of you. Excuse the pun.
I felt better today still have heartburn though not feeling sick which is Great.
Hope you're feeling better. I had a small duodenal ulcer several years ago and had to take medication for about 4 weeks before it cleared up completely.
Later found out that I can't tolerater oranges and citric fruit. Although I still get reflux I've no more uclers since stopping citrus. Also told not to take aspirin or ibuprofren which I don't as not worth the risk. Take medication for reflux on a regular basis.
Thankyou strongmouse yesterday a bit better. Friday night and Saturday had a really sore stomach due to I realized was from a chocolate tasting session and eating lamb.
Citrus hasn't been on the menu for years as I can't eat them due to painful bladder syndrome.
