Hi I've just been given spiriva handihaler and it says to use once a day at the same time. Firstly what are peoples views on spiriva and is it best to take it first thing in the morning or last thing at night or doesn't it matter thank

I take it morning certainly not at the same time daily, and was told merely take it "daily" but get into a regular routine

I have been taking Spiriva for j=the last 6 weeks via the Respimat device. My consultant advised me to take it in the evening because, although my daytime symptoms are now fairly well controlled with the Symbicort SMART regime, I was still having significant dips in my PF at night. My night symptoms have improved dramatically and my PF is actually the highest it has been for a very long time. I feel like I have my life back - I hope it works as well for you!

I have been on it a year and a half It has pushed my peak flow much higher, and when I dip, I don't dip as low. I take it in the morn, at the same time every day along with Flutiform 250. I think it's a fantastic drug.

I hope you find it helps you. Best of luck. X

I use mine in the evening because that's when my symptoms are at their worst. I'd advise doing it whatever tune your asthma seems to be worst. It has helped me lots! Hope it helps you too :)
