It could be muscular pain from coughing, I often have it in right lung area from coughing. The consultant has told me that it is possibly to crack a rib with severe coughing bouts. If it persists get it checked out just in case.

Hi, I get chest pains as well generally on the right side but my docs say its from trying to breathe too hard. My respiratory rate is generally too high but I do not have much lung function left so I guess its a way of compensation or something similar. Previous the docs thought it was to do with one of these kidney, liver or stomach as my bloods were messed up. But just in case try to get it checked.
