lung pain

Hi there,

My asthma has been playing me up on and off for about three months now, I've had steriods, singulair and use symbicort and my blue pump three times a day, but keep a really bad pain in my right lung area. Just wondered whether anyone else experiences this, have to say it's much worse this morning due to the cold weather.

Hello! Yes, I get this, on and off. It started after a bronchoscopy in August, when I'd just gone onto symbicort (which I didn't get on with). I'm not on symbicort any more and it still comes on from time to time when my chest is really tight. It was bad over the weekend but has now calmed down, even though I've been out in the cold this morning. If you find out any more, let me know.

I also get terrible sharp pains in my chest and it's worse in the cold weather.

HI GSG1,

I sometimes have a little pain.

Please see your GP for a checkup if you are at all worried,

and still having pains.

It could be a number of things and always best get checked out.

ps mine was not due to asthma and needed hospital treatment.

I get pain from my lung area almost constantly, mostly in the right side where I had pneumonia a couple years ago

Told my GP about it a few months ago and was just told ""oh thats not usual with asthma"" and he moved onto the next thing

Thanks for all the response. I've decided to see the asthma nurse at my gp's because it's such a sharp pain when I inhale. If I find out any more info I'll let you guys know and thanks for the kind get well wishes.
