Cold cold cold!

Anyone else dread seeing the weather forecast?!

Had a couple of relatively warm days which helped so much but due to get very cold again this week (UK), Met Office says it'll feel like -1 in our area :(

The cold really affects my lungs, especially frosty mornings. I've only just got my asthma under some control again. Sometimes people around me (who don't know a lot about asthma) can't understand why I'm wary of walking too fast in the cold or spending too long out in it. When you ""look"" young and healthy, it can be hard to explain...

Sorry for the moan, hope everyone is managing as well as possible!

I also find the cold frosty weather affects me too.

Have you tried put a scarf over your nose and mouth in cold weather, it does help a little bit.

If any fellow glasses wearers have figured out a way to do this without the specs steaming up I'd be grateful for the tip!

Also - yes, quite anxious about it, but also glad that it coincides with my resp clinic appt!

I cant really win lol - the cold weather affects me too, but Im dreading it warming up as its getting into grass pollen season - last year that meant six months of

oral steroids :(

We should all move to a warm sunny coastline... :D

I have a sort of solution on the glasses front :)

Leave a small gap at the bottom of the scarf for the air to go out of. Not enough to allow too much cold air in, but sort of to the side so that there's a hole. That makes no sense, but basically don't completely took it in.

Hopefully all the plants have died off :P

Snorkel. That's my new plan.

LOL! I love it.

By the way, I saw a stall at a Christmas market which was selling these polar fleece hood things. Like a balaclava but with an adjustable face bit with a toggle, which strikes me as v useful for asthmatics as the scarf always slips off my nose but balaclavas feel too tight. (I didn't buy one, didn't have any cash left).

I was doing really well today breathing-wise. No reliever all day, but then I decided in that case I didn't need to walk so slowly so tried speeding up on the way home in the cold. Didn't even get to what I consider to be a reasonable pace (though I prefer to walk fast when I can) and things started complaining so I needed my inhaler.

I hate cold weather...
