Hi all, Been struggling this week, with worsening symptoms of asthma, as the cold weather has continued, and appears to be a trigger, and with temperatures of minus too, it's felt very challenging!
I've been staying in as much as possible, and wearing a scarf over my mouth and nose to warm air and breathing through my nose.
Taken inhalers when needed and on montelukast
Have to venture out in it twice a day as I work at a college, so no work from home option.
Anyone else have any tips/advice?
Thanks so much!

Hello, I'm sure some users on this forum will be able to give you some help and tips
In the meantime have a look at our page on managing your lung condition in cold weather here asthmaandlung.org.uk/living... or you can give us a call on 0300 222 5800 Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm for advice from a respiratory nurse specialist.
I have a very big, very tightly sown scarf which is effective enough to allow me outside in this weather. If is was not good enough by itself I would double up with some form of mask in addition to scarf.
One other idea, can you get access to a parking spot close to college entrance to minimise your walk in the cold. Asthma is a disability so the college should be making all possible adjustments for you.
Hi Jeb I've been having the same problems with the cold air, I first noticed it when we went sledging on Thursda, i videoed my youngest flying down the hill on a sledge, when i watched the video back and I noticed could hardly breath and was weezing badly which shocked me.
What I've found that has helped is the took an antihistamine !! Not sure why it's helped ,but it has !!
